Michelle Edgar is a 3G from New Jersey, and is also the program specialist for The Institute of Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Raritan Valley Community College. Michelle received her B.A. in education from Rowan University and her M.A. in Holocaust and Genocide Studies from Gratz College. Jessica Wang is a founding member of 3GNJ. Her grandmother, who is 92, is a Holocaust survivor living in Brooklyn, NY. Her grandfather passed away at 90 in 2015 and was also a survivor, serving in the Partisans and later the Russian Army. Jessica tells her grandfather's story of Holocaust survival to school and civic groups across New Jersey.

Jessica has been married to her husband, Josh, for almost 22 years. Josh ran the NYC Marathon in November 2018 on behalf of the Blue Card, an organization that supports needy Holocaust survivors. Elyse Wolff
Co-Founder and Chair, 3GNJ

Elyse Wolff is the granddaughter of two Holocaust survivors, Yolan Moldovan Lichtman and Joseph Lichtman.  Knowing that she is a descendant of survivors has greatly impacted Elyse’s life.  Since 2017, Elyse has served as an appointed Commissioner to the New Jersey State Commission on Holocaust Education, and she is a co-founder of 3GNJ.  Elyse has been married to Keith Wolff since 2007, and together they have two daughters, Dara and Hailey, 4Gs who Elyse hopes will carry on the family legacy.

Since little is known about Elyse’s grandfather’s experience during the Holocaust, Elyse’s presentation focuses on her grandmother’s amazing story of survival, including her time in the Satu Mare ghetto and escaping death more than once at Auschwitz.  More than half of her grandmother’s family was killed during the Holocaust, but Elyse’s grandmother and one of her grandmother’s sister’s managed to stay together while at Auschwitz and later during a death march as the Allied Forces were closing in on the Nazis. Elyse has presented to dozens of audiences, and it is her mission and honor to continue sharing her grandmother’s story.

Aimee Lam

Publicity Chair, 3GNJ

Aimee Lam joined the 3GNJ steering committee in 2022. Aimee’s grandparents were teenagers in 1939 when they escaped the Holocaust. They boarded trains and left Nazi Germany as unaccompanied minors. They would soon meet and fall in love in England at a home for refugee children. In 1947 they immigrated to the United States with Aimee’s mom. They established a new home and life in New York, eventually reuniting with the few family members who did not perish in concentration camps. They were married for more than 50 years.

Aimee received her B.A. in French from Dickinson College and her MBA from the Pamplin College of Business-Virginia Tech.  Aimee is the executive director of Literacy Volunteers of Somerset County, a non-profit organization which helps adults learn to read, write, and communicate in English so they can achieve their American dream.
